Version Two Point Oh!

Oh my gee! It takes a man and a woman to another level. I’mma say it’s the best movie of the love story trilogy of Laida Magatalas and Miggy Montenegro. I bet you’ll love ‘em too.

Usin’ the five words Laida Magtalas Version 2.0 described herself. I’ll try to describe the movie in those five words too.

Wiser
I know it’s hard to be comic if you don’t know what the words to say and the timing in executing it. The director, writer, and the cast did a good… no, a Great job in the movie, makin’ it a Big success. They’ll be goin’ somewhere. I’m sure of that. Each one of them deserves an award.

Braver
In a romantic-comedy movie that almost everyone waited for. Of course people were expectin’ a happily ever after for the two characters, but the story gave a reality ever after. The openin’ was too heavy, and usually it’s not a good move. It could set the mood and it might be hard for comical scenes to get through. And though we know that waitin’ can be either excite or lose the interest of people. I think it’s a good thing that they made the movie four years after the second installment, everyone was able to grow and have more experiences so they could offer more to their characters and its story.

Bolder
Laida Magtalas is bolder than ever. So Sexy~ Well, actually it’s Sarah Geronimo I was shocked with. I know she’s sexy but I didn't expect that she could be bowld-ur! The movie was a revelation for her… or should I say for fans? She could be the cause of heart attack for some possessive fans. But as usual, she stuck with her image. Fans were teased enough in the movie. Even though fans want more, it’s better not to risk it.

Stronger
The emotions were stronger. Well, thanks to the great acting of the cast. I know there was a reason behind Sarah Geronimo’s tears, but because of it, it made Laida Magtalas more believable. The movie might seem simple but no. It is complicated. Any people on earth would be able relate to the issue regardin’ the Big Word.

Nana

I envy Nana. I want to be like Nana. I want to have a friend like Nana.

Nana is a Japanese film with a sequel. It's a story about the friendship of two people with same name and age, but different personalities.

The characters may not be a role model in some areas, but all their experiences are lessons of life.

In the movie, I've learnt how to be mature and responsible of my actions.

Call them Souls not aliens (The Host by Stephanie Meyer)

“...How much is physical, how much in the mind? How much accident and how much fate? Why did perfect matches crumble and impossible couples thrive? ... Love simply is where it is...” – Kathy, Wanderer’s comforter

The Souls, also known as aliens or parasites, need a host, and eventually they found and invaded the earth. Each of them lives inside the human body. Souls are very kind and honest.

Wanderer, the name of a soul from the origin who has travelled to eight different hosts already, lives inside the body of her ninth host of whose name is Melanie. Usually, the host cannot control the soul, but Melanie’s thoughts are very strong. She could show the soul what she wants to show, but never let Wanderer hears or sees all of her memories and secrets, because these could help the seekers find the pure humans she knows. Wanderer thought she could take control of Melanie, but instead of erasing her, she helped her find her family. But when she finds her family, she becomes a stranger to them.

What would Wanderer make them believe that Melanie is still alive? And what will happen now to earth with souls everywhere and only a few pure human remain, is there still a chance for these people?

Snow White and the Huntsman

Snow White and the Huntsman is indeed a fairytale. The movie helped me recall memories when I was younger. It was fun to hear the story again but the quality of the movie is not really that good. If I am to give it a rating I would say three out of five. Nothing special really happened except for some scenes that I got shocked because I did not expect it to be which was also due to my forgetfulness that there were actually events like those happened in the real story.

It was a very quiet movie. I didn’t hear a lot of dialogues between the characters. It was not even an action-packed film knowing that there is a ‘Huntsman’ in the title which gave me an idea that it will be an action film, I even thought that the Huntsman was a villain, but after watching the movie I realized that the Huntsman is not an antagonist but rather the Prince Charming of Snow White, (SPOILER!!!). And here I pity Robert Pattinson because I felt the chemistry between Snow White and the Huntsman.

As to the acting skills of the actors, everyone was good especially the Huntsman at the scene when Snow White died, I admit that I cried a little during that scene. And then with Kristen Stewart (Snow White), it was her, the same as how she is with Bella of Twilight, the only scene that I saw her acting was when she was trying to convince her father’s army to fight against the Queen.

Taiyou no Uta (A Song to Sun)

Taiyou no uta is a story about a girl who was diagnosed with xeroderma pigmentosum, a disease where the affected person can’t go out during the day because exposure to ultraviolet rays may lead to the death of the person. Taiyou no uta has two versions, a movie and a series.

Basically, the story is about reaching her dream to be a singer and along the way she met the reason to fight her fate. In the movie, Amane Kaoru, the lead character was able to fulfil her dreams before she passed away by releasing an album, while in the series, when she was about to debut as a singer, her disease overcome her.

This story inspires me not to give up easily and tells me that I shouldn’t stop believing in my dreams that one day it will happen, just wait for the right time and work hard for it.

Note: There is a Korean version, a stage play, starring Kim Taeyeon of Girls' Generation
